The label Bal Designs was founded in 2014 in Cologne, Germany.

Our focus is on sustainability. We believe, that sustainable consumption and slow fashion is possible. That’s why we upcycle basketballs and design unique bags.
Quality is our top priority. Our products are processed on site by our sewing team. All Bal Designs bags are handmade and each of them is unique.

We have a strong presence in our home market Germany and are increasingly noticed internationally, for example, at the Maison at objet in Paris and Design Week in New York.

Further, we are gaining the attention of the international press, such as Vogue and Vanity Fair.

Our target group is young to middle-aged, have a great interest in fashion, value handcrafted quality, and prefer unique items over mass-produced wares. They like to spend money for unique pieces.

Our partners include leather goods&bags stores, fashion and design boutiques, street wear stores, as well as design-, gift and museum shops.
